Majura Primary School in Watson is being modernised and expanded to accommodate up to 300 additional kindergarten to year 6 students.
The Inner North region is growing, with an increasing number of children needing to enrol in local schools.
Majura Primary School opened in 1963 and currently caters for over 700 students. This expansion will allow up to 300 additional children to attend.
This project is part of an overall investment in public school infrastructure of over $800 million.

The new buildings will be fully electric, contributing to the ACT Government’s zero emissions by 2025 goal.
Students and school community members at Majura Primary School are being provided an opportunity to share their ideas for the redevelopment of the school throughout the design consultation phase.
The local community is also encouraged to have their say on any issues that affect them related to the build, by emailing ACT.Education@act.gov.au
Learning will continue onsite as usual during the construction phase.
